My Dad is the Best

Dad made a hut. He made a table next to the back door. He made some drawers for Amaya. Dad is really good at building stuff.
Dad buys me toys. He buys food – any food.
Dad is fixing our computer. He looks after us on the weekends.
Dad made a little bar in the garage so we can have a party. He once bought us McDonalds when he looked after us. He bought us lollies at the candy shop in Napier.

My Wonderful Mother

My mother is wonderful because she buys me stuff.
She buys me lego, cars and army toys to keep. She buys me new clothes for me to wear on special days. She buys me heaps of stuff to do.
My mother is wonderful because she sometimes takes us to the park to play on the playground.
My mother is wonderful because she makes lasagne - she takes her time and it tastes really yum.
My mother is wonderful because she invites my cousins over and when people come we always do really cool stuff like going to Rainbow’s End.

Game

Yesterday at school, Alex, Jackson and I went to my house.
When we got to my house, I got all my guns out of my bedroom and played with them. We all went out side first. We had to go to the tree hut then we went down the slide. There were two teams. My team's base was in the tree hut. The other base was next to the house. My team had to shoot the other team. Not all the guns made a sound. All of us had to make our own sound. My team won the battle.

Swimming Sports

Yesterday, it was Swimming Sports. The whole school was there. It was at Ngaruawahia pools.
When the whole school got there, I had to go to my first event which was eight year old boys free-style width. When I looked at the water, it was saying, “Come in , come in. I am as cold as an ice block. I will cool you down.” I was nervous. Mr Emms blew the whistle really loudly and we jumped into the water. It was ice cold when I got in. Mr Emms blew the whistle again. We were off! I was coming third but then I got bumped and I came fourth. I felt really good and the water said, ”Good job, Xavier.”
